The organizing committee thanks warmly all the participants of the 13th edition of the International Conference on the Applications of Density Functional Theory in Chemistry and Physics, which occurred in Lyon (France) from August 31st to September 4th, 2009.

The encountered success was undeniably linked to the scientific participation of the delegates. The last information are:

• The Proceedings of the DFT09 Conference should be available very soon (from June 15th 2010) on the website of the journals: J. Mol. Strut./THEOCHEM (Volume 954, Issue 1-3, Year 2010) for the papers focusing the topic "Properties" and Int. J. Quant. Chem. (Volume 110, Issue 12, Year 2010) for the papers focusing other fundamental and applied aspects of Density Functional Theory in Chemistry and Physics ("Density matrices, Current functionals and density functionals, Linear scaling methods, Van der Waals interactions, Time-dependent DFT, Catalysis, Reactivity and Surface properties, Large systems and biosystems, Nano and molecular devices, Conceptual DFT").
  All the papers are now published in the articles "in press / early view" sections.
